Mechanical Engineering Student's Association (MESA)

The intention of MESA is to provide a platform for the students of Mechanical Engineering by organizing various Technical Seminars and Competitions. This helps the students to explore and hone their technical and creative skills through such co-curricular and extracurricular activities. MESA committee is formed by the representatives who are elected from the students through formal elections and voting. This committee handles the activities conducted by MESA. This helps the students to learn a lot about importance of team work, team spirit, handling the responsibility and leadership qualities. That’s why motto of MESA is "Of The Students, By The Students, For The Students".

 

Past Events organized by MESA during A.Y. 2014-15

  • Expert lecture on “Project Methodology” was organized on 4th August, 2014, where Prof. Dr. Roy from KKWIEER, Nashik, guided the students about various technical aspects of their B.E. project.
  • A technical event entitled “MECH TANTRA 2014” was organized to celebrate “Engineer’s Day”. This included various technical competitions such as Lathe War, CAD War, Udyam and Technical Rangoli competition. Intention of the event was to provide a platform for co-curricular and extracurricular skills of the students.
  • “Blood donation Camp” was organized on 12th Jan 2014, on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti, also celebrated as Youth Day. A total 407 bags of blood were collected during this event. The motivation of the event was to create social awareness among the engineering students.
  • A technical seminar entitled “Apti Bodh” was organized on 13th Jan 2014 which was intended to guide the students of engineering about preparation of GATE Examination, other competitive examinations such as STI, RTO etc. and aptitude test during campus interviews.
  • “Essay Competition” was organized on 17th 2014 to celebrate Youth Week. Total 60 students enrolled for the competition and presented essays on various topics such as Swami Vivekanand and Indian Revolution, India of My Dreams, Respect for Women, Role of Youth in Nation Building and Swami Vivekanand & Today’s Youth.

  • Work Shop on Electrical Automation by TAACT from 30/11/2015 to 04/12/2015
  • Work Shop on Electronics Automation by TAACT from 07/12/2015 to 11/12/2015
  • Work Shop on AC Motor and AC Drives by TAACT from 14/12/2015 to 18/12/2015
