Programme Outcomes (PO's):

The programme is targeted at developing the following competencies, skills and abilities amongst students. They shall be able to:

  • PO1: Engineering Knowledge - To apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, problem solving skills, algorithmic analysis and mathematical modelling to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem Analysis - To analyze the problem by finding its domain and applying domain specific skills
  • PO3: Design/ Development of solutions - To understand the design issues of the product/software and develop effective solutions with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex problems - To find solutions of complex problems by conducting investigations applying suitable techniques.
  • PO5: Modern Tool Usage - To adapt the usage of modern tools and recent software.
  • PO6: The Engineer and Society - To contribute towards the society by understanding the impact of Engineering on global aspect.

Information Technology Profile


                   Established in the year 2008, the department of Information Technology serves to impart quality technical educationthat meets industry standards. The department offers a Bachelor course in Information Technology with an intake of 60. The department has a force of well-qualified staff members, with membership in various professional bodies like IEI, CSI, etc.The department have state-of-the-art infrastructure. The computing resources include 8 well equipped laboratories with a total of 140 computers. All the laboratories are provided with internet facility of 50 Mbps. The department has licensed copy of MS Windows Vista, MS Office 2007, SNGL OLP NL, MS Code Gair C++ Builder Pro 2009 AE. The department has undertaken blended learning through NPTEL videos, digital library, seminars, workshops, expert talks etc.The department always strives for excellence and received grants from various funding agencies like BCUD for the research work, workshops and seminars. The department library facilitates the requirement of text books, reference books, magazines, seminar and project reports, etc.The students’ association IAITE (Innovative Association of Information Technology Engineers) actively organizes various events at college and zonal level. The activities that make the department distinctive are conduction of Android workshop beyond working hours, participation of staff members in social welfare and rural development (like E-Banking Training for women of Chandwad region), hands-on for the students by the students, campus website maintenance, official email id maintenance, certificate and banner designing,etc.
